Bal D'Afrique by Byredo is a unique fragrance that is both a celebration of African culture and an imaginary journey through its rich history. The fragrance is one of Byredo's earliest creations and was formulated during a time when the founder, Ben Gorham, was obsessed with translating memories into scent. His father's experiences of living and traveling in Africa for about 10-15 years greatly influenced the creation of Bal D'Afrique.The fragrance is incredibly cheerful, light, and gently floating. The opening notes of the fragrance include bergamot, lemon, neroli, African marigold, bucchu. The heart of Bal D'Afrique reveals a bouquet of violets, jasmine petals and cyclamen. The base notes are black amber, musk, vetiver, Moroccan cedarwood.
